1. Copyright Compliance
Pichr respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, and international copyright treaties.
Users who repeatedly infringe copyrights will have their accounts terminated.
2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe content on Pichr infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent containing:
Required Information:
- Identification of copyrighted work: Describe the work you believe is infringed, or if multiple works, a representative list
- Identification of infringing material: Provide the URL(s) of the allegedly infringing image(s) on Pichr
- Contact information: Your name, address, phone number, and email address
- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
- Accuracy statement: A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Signature: Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Review the notice for completeness
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
- Notify the user who uploaded the content
- Document the takedown in our compliance records
Processing time: Valid notices are typically processed within 24-48 hours. Urgent cases may be expedited.
4. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe content was removed in error or you have authorization to use it, you may file a counter-notification containing:
- Your contact information: Name, address, phone number, email
- Identification of content: URL of the removed content and location before removal
- Good faith statement: Statement under penalty of perjury that content was removed in error or misidentification
- Consent to jurisdiction: Statement consenting to UK courts or courts in your location
- Signature: Physical or electronic signature

We will forward your counter-notification to the original complainant. If they do not file a lawsuit within 10 business days, we may restore the content.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
Pichr maintains a three-strike policy:
- First violation: Content removed, warning issued
- Second violation: Content removed, account suspended for 7 days
- Third violation: Permanent account termination
Serious violations (CSAM, terrorism) result in immediate permanent ban.
6. Fair Use and Exceptions
We recognize that some uses of copyrighted material may be lawful under fair dealing provisions (UK) or fair use (other jurisdictions). These include:
- Criticism and review
- News reporting
- Educational purposes
- Parody and satire
If you believe your use qualifies as fair use/dealing, explain this in your counter-notification.
7. False Claims
Knowingly submitting false DMCA notices or counter-notifications may result in:
- Legal liability under DMCA Section 512(f)
- Being barred from using Pichr
- Potential legal action for damages
8. Trademark Policy
Using another party’s trademark in a way that may cause confusion about brand affiliation is prohibited. Trademark complaints should be sent to dmca@pichr.io with:
- Trademark registration details
- URL of infringing content
- Explanation of how it infringes
9. International Copyright
While Pichr is UK-based, we respect copyright laws globally. We process takedown requests from any jurisdiction in accordance with international copyright treaties and UK law.
