About Pichr
After Imgur’s exit from the UK market, Pichr was created as a UK-compliant alternative with stronger safety measures and transparent compliance. We’re an image hosting platform (upload, store, share links) - not a content browsing platform (no search, trending, or discovery features).

How Content Moderation Works
1. Automated Scanning (AI)
Every image uploaded to Pichr is automatically scanned using Cloudflare Workers AI:
- NSFW Detection: Scores content on adult, violence, offensive, and medical categories
- Threshold: Content scoring ≥0.7 is automatically age-restricted
- Auto-Removal: Content scoring ≥0.9 is automatically blocked
- Real-time: Happens instantly on upload finalization
2. User Reports
Users can report content that violates our policies:
- Multiple report categories (CSAM, terrorism, violence, harassment, etc.)
- Priority routing for high-severity reports
- 24-hour response for critical reports (CSAM/terrorism)
- 72-hour response for standard reports
3. Manual Review
Trained moderators review:
- Flagged content from automated systems
- User-reported content
- Appeals and counter-notices
- Edge cases requiring human judgment
4. Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity, we may:
- Age-restrict content (requires 18+ confirmation)
- Remove content (policy violations)
- Warn users (first-time minor violations)
- Suspend accounts (repeat violations)
- Ban users and report to authorities (illegal content)
Age Verification & Restricted Content
NSFW Content Policy
Pichr allows age-appropriate adult content with proper restrictions:
- Content must not depict illegal activity
- Must not violate UK law or community guidelines
- Automatically age-restricted based on AI scores
- Users must confirm they are 18+ to view

Safe Mode
All users can enable Safe Mode to:
- Hide age-restricted content automatically
- Blur NSFW images in dashboard and galleries
- Filter explicit content from search/discovery
- Default: ON for users who haven’t confirmed 18+
Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately:

How to Report
If you encounter content that violates our policies:
- Click the “Report” button on any image
- Select the appropriate category
- Provide details about the violation
- Submit the report
Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24-72 hours depending on severity.
